Water reminder Application
Hi, In this post I will explain the UCD (User centered design) 9 steps which I have applied on the real Application (Water reminder app).
1. Define context:
Water reminder application is used for a particular purpose for reminding water, especially for students and businessmen.
Consumers: Students, Businessmen, and students of foreign countries who do not take care of their health. Any person can perform well only if their health is well. So, they need to use a water reminder application.
End-users: Students
2. Describe the user:
• Any age group, both male and female are included, and no height is required (Physical).
• Vision should be clear (perceptual).
• The user should know how to use the application (cognitive).
• The application can be used anywhere i.e. home, market, and classroom (workplace).
• The water reminder app is a worldwide application so the user can change the language. According to their native language (cultural diversity).
3. Task analysis:
• Install the application.
• Allow app permission.
• Set your profile.
• Select the time.
• Save reminder.
4. Function allocation:
• The system sets the task as the user needs.
• It records all your previous plans.
• Give weekly report.
• Record your drinking plan.
5. System layout:
• User-friendly interface.
• Both android and iOS devices.
• Desktop application.
6. Mockup and prototypes:
• Every feature will have a different prototype for the understanding of stakeholders.
• Draw a paper prototype of every phase or level.
7. Usability testing:
• If all the functions, components, modules, or features work correctly and the system responds to every request and gives a reminder timely then supply it in public or market.
• Otherwise, design the system and find the loopholes.
8. Interactive test and redesign:
Check the time of sending reminders from the system and how accurate it is.
9. Updates and maintenance:
The system will update and the maintenance team fixes bugs and errors after every 15 days to make the application work efficiently.
