MS Access: How To Add An Input Mask?

Hi, In this blog I will instruct you about how to Add an Input Mask in your table field property.

Example No: 01
Add an input mask to the agent Telephone-Num field that allows entry of numbers like (403) 789-1234. The part of the code should be optional. Do not disremember to change the data type of Agent Telephone-Num first, and also consider using #.

1: Click on three Dots.

2. Then Input Mask Wizard will on click on phone number.

3. Then write you telephone phone number.

4. Then select # in the placeholder character option.

5. Then select the 2^nd option.

6. In the end, click on the finish button.

7. Then you can see Input Mask will automatically inert in the field properties.


Example No: 02
Enter an input mask for the Customer postal code so that it will restrict the format to three alphanumeric characters, followed by a space, followed by the three other alphanumeric characters, for instance, T2N 1N4.

1. In this, all steps are the same you just click on postal code and follow the same steps as I'll explain in example no 01.
